Cheats Pizza (V)

Do you have a craving for pizza but have no time to make your own, use pita breads to make these yummy pizza’s.

Serves 4 as a snack or 2 as main meal

Preparation time 10 minutes

Cook time 10 minutes

Ingredients

  • olive oil
  • 4 pita breads
  • 200 g mozzarella cheese, sliced
  • 2 large tomatoes, sliced
  • salt and freshly grounded black pepper
  • 6 fresh basil leaves, coarsely chopped
  • 2 sprigs of fresh oregano, leaves stripped

Preheat oven to 240 °C. Drizzle a little olive oil on a baking tray. Place pita bread on tray. Top with sliced mozzarella and tomatoes. Season with salt and pepper. Sprinkle basil and oregano leaves on top and drizzle with a little olive oil. Place in oven for 10 minutes till cheese is melted. Serve warm.

Genoeg vir 4 as ‘n ligte ete of 2 as hoofmaal

Bestanddele

  • olyfolie
  • 4 pita broodjies
  • 200 g mozzarellakaas, in skywe gesny
  • 2 groot tamaties, in skywe gesny
  • sout en varsgemaalde swartpeper
  • 6 vars basiliekruid blare, grof gekap
  • 2 takkies vars origanum, blaartjies gestroop van takkies


Verhit oond tot 240 °C. Sprinkel ‘n klein bietjie olyfolie op ‘n bakplaat. Plaas pita broodjies op bakplaat. Plaas mozzarellakaas en tamaties bo-op pita’s. Geur met sout en peper. Sprinkel basiliekruid en origanum blaartjies bo-oor. Sprinkel ‘n klein bietjie olyfolie oor en plaas in oond. Bak vir 10 minute en sit warm voor.
