Diemersdal Celebrates Sauvignon Blanc with Older Vintages and Gourmet Dinners

Diemersdal Wine Estate in Durbanville, one of South Africa’s most awarded Sauvignon Blanc producers, will be celebrating International Sauvignon Blanc Day (5 May) with a host of special offers for lovers of this wonderful white wine variety and fine food.

From Friday 5 May to Sunday 7 May visitors to the Diemersdal tasting-room will receive a 10% discount on all Sauvignon Blanc purchases. What’s more, cellar master Thys Louw has delved into his cellar and visitors will have the opportunity to taste some matured Sauvignon Blancs from older vintages during the week-end.

Wine-lovers, don’t miss this chance. Sauvignon Blanc ages magnificently taking on beautiful complexities as they age in the bottle.

The popular Diemersdal Farm Eatery will be serving a special two-course blackboard menu at lunch to Saturday 6  May. The cost is R180 which includes a glass of Sauvignon Blanc.

But the fun stuff for eating and drinking really kicks-in on Friday and Saturday when the eatery offers a special Sauvignon Blanc-paired three course dinner. The menu is:

Starter

Salmon gravadlax, tempura shitake, pea, tozazu and radish paired with Sauvignon Rosé

Main course

Roasted quail, raw shitake ravioli, parmesan veloute, sage and shallots with 8 Rows Sauvignon Blanc

Dessert

Buttermilk parfait, caramelised milk, hay ice cream and almond with the NLH Sauvignon Blanc.
